About Us
Bringing unique treats to your special events and occasions.
How I started my journey!
I love to play in the kitchen where there is warmth through creating and sharing food. Over the years I refined my gingerbread recipe and added a few new twists on an old favourite. Gingerbread is most often connected with Christmas, but I found myself reaching for this recipe year-round when friends and family wanted a tasty treat, or even something to soothe an upset tummy.
I have found creative and inspirational designs that satisfy the sweet tooth any time.
I focus on Celtic themes that celebrate Nova Scotia, but I love creating cookie boxes for all occasions. I am committed to using the finest Canadian ingredients.
From corporate gifts that leave a lasting impression to wedding favors that add a touch of sweetness to your special day, my gingerbread creations are crafted with care and a touch of magic.

Sweet Words from Happy Customers
We’re grateful for every smiling face and empty cookie box! Here’s a taste of the joy Celtic Cookies brings to homes across Halifax and beyond.
The staff at our 3 Dartmouth locations loved the cookies we got them for Christmas goodies. Awesome idea for corporate gifts! Thank you so much!
Our recent Titanic Tea presentation at George Wright House in Halifax was lovely. Your cookies were a hit! Guests commented that they were among the best gingerbread and shortbreads they had ever eaten — the perfect compliment to the tea!
Teresa provided 100 cookies with the Celtic rune symbol for our daughter’s wedding in British Columbia adding a wonderful touch of Nova Scotia hospitality. Needless to say, they disappeared – which is the best compliment you can give a baker!
My new favorite cookies ❤️They truly remind me of my grandmothers… it was like biting into a memory when I had some.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are your gift boxes eco-friendly?
Absolutely. Our stay fresh inner “cellophane” packaging is made from compostable plant-based material that offers a sustainable alternative to traditional packaging. The outer boxes have a plastic window, but you can recycle or compost this box once the window has been removed.
How far in advance should I place a large order?
Are the cookies vegan?
Do you handle corporate and wedding orders?
Where do you source your ingredients?
We buy organic ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves from a local vendor in the Halifax area. Supporting local growers and spice merchants keeps our flavors fresh and our footprint small. We use Canadian organic flour, eggs, molasses, and shortening with dedication to keeping it local wherever possible.
Do you offer gluten-free or gluten-friendly options?
On request we bake a gluten‑friendly version of the classic recipe. While the ingredients are gluten free, anyone with celiac disease or severe gluten sensitivity should be aware we work in a mixed kitchen. While we take every precaution to avoid cross‑contact, wheat flour is used daily. We cannot guarantee zero cross‑contamination for severe allergies.
Can I order cookies with custom colours or designs?
Yes! Although “Celtic” is our primary theme, we tailor the designs to a variety of themes—holidays, birthdays, weddings, or corporate branding. Colours are generally only added to shortbread, or blonde gingerbread.
What are your pickup or delivery options?
You can collect your order at my upcoming market days provided we have at least one week’s notice, or you may choose local delivery within HRM for a reasonable fee with a minimum $50 order.
For orders with multiple flavours or designs, please allow a minimum of two weeks.
Delivery or shipping elsewhere in Nova Scotia may be arranged based on size and timing of your order. We are only accepting orders within Nova Scotia at this time.
